Why should we choose you for our photography?

That's a good question!  Everyone wants bang for their buck, and we agree.  We're award winning photographers that have been shooting weddings for years... and we're married ourselves, so we know what the fuss is about. We offer an amazing calibre of photography for the price!  We've been told on many occasions that we're easy going, funny, talented, relaxed, flexible and have been complimented numerous times on our ability to create natural looking, beautiful portraits on wedding days.  Nicky has her Certificate in Professional Photography from the New York Institute of Photography, and Louis is our resident lighting geek/techno whiz - with us, you'll get fantastic value for money!

Who owns copyright of the images?

We both do!  We don't mind who you share your photos with, like family, friends, your next door neighbour, whoever you like!  We just ask that you don't use your images for financial gain without checking first - more often than not, we're happy :)

Are you available for weddings outside the Waikato?

Definitely!  We love a good road trip, or plane or boat trip if it comes to that.  We'll happily travel to wherever you're holding your big day, and we'll look to help keep costs down as much for you as possible.  All travel includes a pre-visit to your venue to get to know you guys better, and for us to check out the location and how we can use it best to add to the fabulousness of your day!

What if we want something different from what you have in your packages?

The great things about weddings, is that nothing is ever the same.  Sure, we all have celebrants, family, and friends, but things like budgets, dates, and seasons are definitely things that differ from couple to couple, and we understand this!  You might not be getting married in the peak of summer, at the beach...   We'll be more than happy to tailor something to suit your date, and schedule :)

What if you are sick or there is an emergency on the day of the wedding?

To this date, it's never happened... If it ever did, we'd definitely find a suitable replacement that is equivalent in quality.  We haven't had any disasters that we couldn't handle, and we'd never leave you without an excellent photographer on your special day!

How many photos will we receive?

This depends on the package you have booked and we are often generous!  We work hard in the post-production stage after your wedding, and the final images you receive will reflect both your input, and also our style here at Lumiere. For this reason, we do not give out every photo taken and creative control over the images belongs to us.

When do we get our photos?

We normally put a few sneaky peeks on our Facebook page within 72 hours, and then the process begins! We try to have your photos back to you within 4-6 weeks - at very VERY latest, up to 8 weeks from your wedding.   A lot of work goes into your wedding photos behind the scenes, and we want you to have the very best result!  Once finished, we will ship the files out to you by tracked courier, or drop them off to you (if you're local!)

Can you do prints and albums?

Yes, yes and yes!  All of the details for these are on our wedding agreements, or just ask :)

How do we book,  and how much is the deposit?

We ask that you pay a non refundable deposit of $350 for us to hold your date.  This is part of your overall package price and is subtracted from the total.  If your date changes (as long as we're free,) we're happy to carry your deposit over to that date.
